Sheebah talks terminating Jeff Kiwa contract, says she doesn't know Pinky

Musician Sheebah Karungi said she doesn't regret being under the management of Jeff Kiwanuka.

"My journey and that man was good,... and it's just that we refuse to acknowledge, but everyone has so much they can do for you, and it ends and you move on," said Karungi of the Team No Sleep (TNS) founder.

"Jeff took me where he took me, the nine years we worked together, and I also took him where I could... but this is the time for me to move without him."

Information that Karungi, the self-proclaimed Queen Karma – ended her working relationship with Kiwanuka, known in the music industry as Jeff Kiwa, went public in December 2021.

There was a subtle exchange of words in the media following the split.

Karungi posted on her Facebook: "I was raised by a woman, who was raised by a woman that (Sic) was also raised by a WOMAN. It would be stupid not to FIGHT for my own."

Kiwa was interviewed by Sqoop and he said: "You find someone spending all their time plastering blood-red lipsticks and taking photos, how do you sell your music that way? Seriously, I don’t need lipstick artistes. Five years are enough for you to be a brand material and an international artiste but when you’re fixated on small things like red lipstick, you remain just a vixen.”

That very month of December, Kiwa introduced Rahma Nanyanzi, alias Rahma Pinky, who many have said sounds like Karungi. Sheebah Karungi says she doesn't know her.

"I didn't know he signed a kid that sings like me. Honestly, I'm in my own world... already I'm adding on companies... I'm too busy. Some of the things I don't know about them. They don't waste my time. We have a lot of fans. The person he signed can get her fans and I also remain with mine," she said.

Sheebah Karungi is set to hold a concert on December 9 at Kampala Serena Hotel and she's been doing media interviews to promote it.
