Bebe Cool, thanks for always being available for the industry - Ykee Benda

Ykee Benda, real name Wycliffe Tugume, has praised the Gagamel boss Bebe Cool for always fighting for a better industry.

A genuine 'bromance' is flourishing

“Big up Bebe Cool. Thank you for always being available for the industry,” he said, while pointing out Bebe Cool’s significance on Uganda’s music scene.

Bebe Cool was a consultant for Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) when Ykee Benda was the President.

Ykee and Bebe disagree on the leadership potential of musician King Saha.

Bebe sees Saha as merely a weed smoker with no leadership credentials, whereas the former UMA president, Ykee Benda, has given his support to Saha to become the next leader of UMA.

Ykee is convinced that King Saha is the right person for the job and nobody can perform the association’s presidential duties better than the self-crowned Saha.

People are here saying mbu Saha is not mature enough. THATS WRONG !! Leadership isn’t about how old you are, during my time as president I was completely by these so-called mature people, they only cared about themselves because they no longer do music actively. Don’t judge Saha from social media or what you see in the news, he is a very responsible and reasonable man who loves this industry dearly. He can’t afford to send his own business to the grave, he will fight for it,” Ykee Benda wrote on his social media platforms a few months ago.

Ykee went on to describe Saha as an upright individual whom he has dealt with for five years without reason to believe he is anything other than genuine and honest.
