Evelyn Mic confirms Alien Skin 'violently slapped' her, opens police case

Media personality Evelyn Mic confirmed being slapped by Alien Skin on Sunday, May 5.

Skin was among the performers at the Galaxy Zzina Carnival at Forest Park Buloba, an event organised by Galaxy FM, the employer of Mic.

In a statement posted on X on Tuesday, May 8, Evelyn Mic wrote:

"Friends, on Sunday the 5th of May 2024 while officiating as an MC at the Galaxy FM Zzina, I was violently slapped, humiliated and assaulted near stage by singer Alien Skin at the Galaxy Zzina Carnival at Forest Park Buloba.

"I feel harassed mentally emotionally abused and manipulated and never the less disrespected, I come out seeking justice for myself and anyone else that has been harassed by inhumane in the entertainment industry that think they are above the law.

"I have reported the incident to Buloba Police Station and opened a criminal case against Alien Skin under SD REF: 02/06/05/2024.

"I have also instructed my lawyers - Katende Ssempebwa & Co. Advocates to pursue the prosecution of the case until justice prevails."

The news has inspired wide-ranging comments.

Sheilah Gashumba posted on X: "Ah but who does alien skin he is though, maybe someone should educate me if I’m missing something!! so alien skien [sic] is going to walk around with his gang after beating Evelyn Mic??

"The funniest thing is the radio and tv she works for will still continue to play his music like he didn’t just harass their own presenter!! Uganda olemwa!!"

Reacting to the post of Evelyn Mic, Kirya posted: "No man beats a woman, i may not agree with what you post daily but putting social media aside your life is important and man should beat a woman, this is sick though.."

The Sitya Danger hitmaker is yet to comment on the matter.
