According to him, these youths are broken and don’t have anyone they can run to for, but they are not sure who is there to throw a hand of help and this is because mental health is still not taken as a serious disease in Uganda.

Ugandan comedian Anne Kansiime has come out and promised to put a helping hand on upcoming comedian Don Andre’s campaign through giving him support in different areas using her brand and talent.

She has also promised to help out on building Don Andre’s career to growth. He has been in the comedy game for over three years but hadn’t yet made it so popular to Ugandans.

Don Andre is a school to school comedy tour themed ‘Chalk on Jokes’ where he creates awareness about mental health to different students in different schools with a back up of different comedians like Anne Kansiime, Optional Allan, Daniel Omara, and others.

Don also adds that he does this awareness to reduce the number of students in different schools and other institutions that are always affected with mental health breakdowns.

Earlier on her Instagram, Ann Kansiime posted how excited she was on the campaign,

“And I finally have a wonderful opportunity to be part of a project to encourage & uplift the young talented generation in this country and join the fight for mental health in our youth through the art of standup comedy.

Starting right here in my neighborhood at Namugongo Secondary and vocational School this coming weekend,” said Anne Kansiime.
