I've always paid Omega 256 for her work - Ray G

Ray G refuted claims by Omega 256 that he never paid her for the times she performed at his past concerts.

According to him, he always provides facilitation to artistes who perform at his shows to cover expenses they incur.

He said he still has the receipts to prove this.

On her not attending his concert but choosing to perform in Ishaka, G, who was appearing on Galaxy FM, said: "I can't beef Omega. I like her music. I've been a fan also. Her decisions are entirely entitled to her. The other thing, it's a free economy. In Uganda, you do what you want. If they book you, you go."

G's comments come after 256 said her previous commitments to him should be enough to show that she supports him.

The 'This Year' hitmaker, who has previously performed on some three shows of G for free and also endorsed his upcoming concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval, was shocked when his fans turned guns toward her for accepting another gig on the same day the former has a show.

She said that the performance in Ishaka is not a concert, rather she was booked to perform at a show.

She said she will continue to support Ray G for the success of his show and she has no issues with him.

Omega 256 also said she hadn't been contacted by the Omusheshe hitmaker to perform at Lugogo.

The Ray G concert is set for tomorrow, Friday, May 10 at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala.

Several artistes, including Spice Diana, Lydia Jazmine, and Sheebah Karungi have supported the western Uganda-based singer.
