Tumwine's daughter says her marriage is one of her late father's 'proudest memories'
Cynthia Tumwine, one of the children of former security minister Gen Elly Tumwine, has said her marriage to Jumia Uganda Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ron Kawamara will forever be etched on her dad's mind.

She was responding to Kawamara's tweet in which he was paying tribute to his father-in-law.
"We do not grieve because of the valour attached to Afande. We weep because we loved this kind and loving hero who persevered through tragic moments – not for the sake of ambition or vanity; not for wealth or power; but only for the people and the country he loved. RIP Commander 1" he tweeted.
Ron Kawamara and Cynthia Tumwine tied the knot in December of 2019. Their wedding was attended by then Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda, who represented President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. The president gifted the newly married couple with 10 cows and Shs10 million.
The Omukama of Tooro Kingdom, Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru and his mother, Best Kemigisha gracted the glamorous occasion.
Before she decided to focus on her restaurant and bar businesses, Cynthia Tumwine was a radio presenter, having worked with XFM and Radio City. The self-styled Ninjaness is also a rapper and songwriter.
Her husband, Kawamara, has been a business executive for more than a decade, working with big companies like FedEx, Jumia Uganda and HelloFood.
