Pastor Bugingo: How Susan Makula tricks me into buying things for her

"Makula,... [laughs] if she wants shoes, she gives you shoes and waits for like three weeks. If she wants to go shopping for new clothes, she uses all her money to shop for you and you get excited," said Bugingo who was preaching, according to a video seen by this reporter.

"Now I studied her and I know to wait for what she will say after. So, now when she speaks I know I'm the one who eats what she has. But some of you eat yours and what belongs to the husband. Help me ask the neighbour, what befell you?"

The lovebirds whose romance was publicly confirmed in 2019 have said a lot of amusing things about each other over the years, some through action as some videos of them cozying up to each other have been shared on social media.

Makula, who is an employee of Salt Media, which is owned by Pastor Bugingo, has said one of the reasons their relationship has grown stronger is because they fear losing each other.

"I fear losing my spouse. He fears losing me. If you don't fear losing what you love, then you don't love it,” she said during The Junction, a show she co-hosts with Susan Nalwoga, aka Auntie Sue and Parvin Nampima Ssenkubuge on Salt TV.

After her submission, Auntie Sue asked if she was trying hard to keep the pastor and she responded by saying that it was important to show your partner that you are committed to growing the relationship.

In a separate video, Makula said that one of the things that have kept her relationship with the House of Prayer Ministries International senior pastor growing is because he knows what makes her tick.

"There is a man who can study you and he knows which buttons to touch,” she said.

Makula, 36, said that she had peace of mind since she started dating Pastor Bugingo whom she allegedly snatched from Teddy Naluswa in 2019.

In May 2019, Bugingo and Teddy’s love story turned sour when the former publicly accused the latter of wanting to kill him.

He also accused her of conspiring to steal his church land, citing them as some of the reasons he could no longer stay with her. He demanded a divorce.

Teddy denied the allegations and opposed the divorce petition stating church marriage is meant to last forever and that her husband had no valid issues for divorcing her.

Makula and Bugingo became close when she joined Salt Media in 2014 as a radio presenter. Rumours about their romance started circulating in 2018 after they were seen together.

At Salt Media, Makula also allegedly dated fellow TV presenter Derrick Ainomugisha aka Vucci, with whom they had also previously worked at Alpha FM, which is owned by Pastor Joseph Sserwada. But Ainomugisha denied they ever dated, saying they were just friends.

Susan Makula got the attention of Sserwada's son Pastor Martin Sebuguzi after her appearance at a 2008 function organised by Impact FM and started hugging people. Sebuguzi managed the station alongside Alpha FM.

Incidentally, Bugingo launched the foundation of his pastorship by calling Impact FM to say prayers in the morning. Sebuguzi would later recommend he gets hired. He was given a show, in which Sserwada would also appear as a guest.

Bugingo, 50, and Sebuguzi would later leave to start Salt Media but they later fell out over management misunderstandings and Bugingo allegedly launched a smear campaign against him. Sebuguzi also allegedly dated Susan Makula.
