Col Moses Kaggwa takes over Anti-Aircraft Command

Lt Col Moses B Kaggwa has assumed office as the new commander of the 204 Anti Aircraft (AAC) Command.

Musoke took the reigns from Col Tom Musoke at a function presided over by Brigadier General Michael Kabango the 4th Infantry Division Commander in Gulu.

Brigadier Kabango in his remarks congratulated both officers on their respective tours of duty.

He emphasized that transfers are a routine part of military service, stating, "I, therefore, urge you Officers and Men of 204 AAC Brigade to cooperate and support the incoming commander while in office."

He further highlighted the crucial role of the AAC unit in any military operation globally.

Brigadier Kabango urged AAC commanders to meticulously document and preserve the unit's tactical and operational history from its inception, allowing future personnel to learn from its legacy.

Expressing his appreciation for Col Tom Musoke's commendable service, Brigadier Kabango requested that he carry the same spirit of dedication and camaraderie to his new role.

Col Tom Musoke Buwembo is now set to take command of the 201 AAC Brigade under the First Division Headquarters in Kakiri, Wakiso District, Central Region.

Lt Col Moses B Kaggwa, the incoming Brigade Commander, expressed his gratitude to the UPDF leadership for entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the 204 AAC Brigade.

He pledged to not only maintain the achievements of his predecessor but also build upon them.

"I will command and lead my subordinates professionally with morale so that the brigade meets the expectations of the high command," he asserted.

Lt Col Kaggwa also extended his gratitude to Col Musoke for the camaraderie, cooperation, excellent mentorship, and guidance he provided to the unit during his tenure.

Furthermore, Lt Col Kaggwa expressed his deep appreciation to the Army leadership for granting him the opportunity to command the 204 AAC Unit at the Brigade level. He commended the outgoing Commander for his exemplary service.

In response, Col Tom Musoke congratulated Lt Col Kaggwa on his new appointment and expressed his gratitude to the army leadership for the opportunity to serve as AAC Brigade Commander for a period of three years.

"It gives me a sense of pride and pleasure to command AAC Brigade in the first place as the Brigade Operations and Training Officer (BOTO) from 2018-2020 and now Brigade Commander twice," he stated.

The ceremony witnessed the symbolic handover of instruments of power, including office stamps and files, to the incoming Commander.

It was also graced by the presence of Commanding Officers from AAC unit Brigade, 4th Infantry Division Headquarters Staff Officers, and enlisted personnel.
