Pia Pounds Tupaate features in show Young, Famous & African on Netflix

Ugandan musician Pia Pounds is of late smiling ear to ear over a great milestone that her hit song Tupaate is reaching.

The hit song that took many Ugandans by storm because if it's party and enjoyment vibe was featured in the currently trending Netflix show Young, Famous & African’ that features Ugandan socialite Zari and ex baby daddy Diamond Platnumz.

Pia Pounds shared her excitement on her Facebook account with a video clip of the show and said,

“Tell your Neighbour –Tupaate Ali ku Netflix” which directly translates that tell your neighbour Tupaate is on Netflix.

She is currently the only Ugandan musician so far whose song has been used in the show as a soundtrack.

The show premiered last week Friday on Netflix and has been a talk of town on different social media platforms with many people giving their opinions about it.

Zari first announced the show through a trailer that she shared on her Instagram last month.

Through her Instagram, Zari made the announcement saying her lifestyle and way of life is now going to be a television show.

“Africa like you’ve never seen before. It’s glitz, its glamour and just a touch of me. You can’t miss this. Young, Famous & African arrives March 18. Only on Netflix,” Zari Hassan posted on her Instagram.

The show features different personalities and a cast of people from different countries like Nigeria, South Africa as well as East Africa. The show is about all African stars living successfully. It’s characterised with s*x, shade and scandal.

Some of the famous characters in the show include Nigeria’s 2Baba, Khanyi Mbau, Andile Ncube and Annie Macaulay-Idibia.
