Ahead of International Women's Day on Friday, March 8, we'll be doing a series of stories about some of the things women are doing for the growth of different sectors.

Here are women who worked as singing or writing partners or were vixens in the songs of their boyfriends or husbands.
1. Geoffrey Lutaaya and Irene Namatovu
Aliba Ani is a song by Irene Namatovu on which she featured her husband Geoffrey Lutaaya, who is now the Kakuuto County Member of Parliament.
The song, which is now a love classic, was produced by legendary beatmaker Paddy Man.
The couple, who have five kids together, have also worked together on projects like Kemirembe, which was also produced by Paddy Man, with a video by NG Films Inc., and Ndi Ready (also produced by Paddy Man, with a video by Edrine Paul).
2. Geosteady and Hindu & Prima Kadarshi
Geosteady loves working with his women. His baby mama Prima Kadarshi was a vixen in the video of his 2022 hit song Sembera, which has 2.4 million views on YouTube.
Sembera was produced by Bass Boi, with a video by Aaaronaire, real name Aaron Mutumba. His current girlfriend Hindu Kay featured in his song titled Amaanyi, which was also produced by Bass Boi, with a video by KD on Lens.
3. Feffe Bussi and Karole Kasita
This relationship has never been officially confirmed but it's also hard to deny. Karole Kasita features in Feffe Bussi's song titled Ebyo Boli, which was produced by Bass Boi & Jahlive, with a video filmed by Aaronarie Pictures and directed by Gabriel Kyambadde.
Kasita starred in the video of Key, one of Bussi's popular songs that was produced by Bass Boi and filmed by Jahlive.
4. Mowzey Radio and Lilian Mbabazi
Mowzey Radio wrote Vitamin for his baby mama Lilian Mbabazi and Weasel, who was the former's music partner, featured on the song that was produced by Magic Washington. The video was filmed by Kim XP.
Radio and Weasel also featured Lilian Mbabazi in their song titled Am in Love.
5. Esther Nabaasa and Michael Fingaz
Esther Nabaasa and Michael Fingaz contributed to Bebe Cool's Go Mama album, with their most prominent song on the album being Love You Everyday, which Nabaasa wrote and Fingaz produced.
Esther Nabaasa also wrote Juliana Kanyomozi's songs I'm Still Here & Right Here, and her husband, Michael Fingaz, produced them.
6. Bebe Cool and Zuena Kirema
Zuena Kirema was a vixen in Bebe Cool's song Kasepiki. Kasepiki, which was produced by Rinex, with a video by Markville, was released shortly after the couple rekindled their love following a split during which Cool released Agenze, which was produced by Paddy Man, with a video by Markville.
7. Pallaso and Mimi
Pallaso's girlfriend Mimi accepted to work as a vixen in the video of his song titled Yegwe, which was produced by Nash Wonder, with a video directed by Director Pest or Grate Make Films.
The video, which was dropped on July 23, has close to half a million views on YouTube.
8. Natasha Sinayobye and Michael Kasaija
Natasha Sinayobye and her baby daddy Michael Kasaija met in the singing group Obsessions before they quit to form Kombat Dancers, which they also folded to focus on acting with their debut movie titled Bala Bala Sese.
9. Sister Charity and Rasta Charz
Sister Charity met Rasta Charz when he was a music instructor at her school. They joined the same band, got married, formed their own band and worked over several songs together before they split.
