Jackie Chandiru to legally change her name; here’s why

Singer Jackie Chandiru is changing her maiden name.

The Blu3 star girl says she does not wish to live with a “bad name” any more, which she attributes some of her life challenges to.

The name Chandiru in Lugbara means “problems,” according to the talented singer.

“At this point, I myself am a problem...that is literally what my name means,” she said.

"And that is why I want to legally change it to “Ayikoru” which means happiness.

In an interview with Shamim Mayanja, Chandiru catalogued problems she has faced over the years that took a big toll on her life.

Most of the challenges, she said, rotated around men and relationships.

She recounted being heartbroken by men he loved, including one she caught red-handed with another woman in a hotel.

When she confronted him, she said, the man set his mistress to attack her.

Right now, Chandiru says she is single and open to dating, but has strict requirements.
