Some revelers at the four-day event, which started on Thursday and ends on Sunday, paid to stay within the festival grounds and the organisers promised them high-class accommodation and some paid as much as Shs3 million.

The shanty accommodation facilities at Nyege Nyege festival that is underway at Itanda falls in Itanda village, Nakakulwe parish, Butagaya sub-county in Jinja District got netizens talking, as most felt they were scammed.
But what they found was completely different than what was advertised in the pictures.
The pictures from the event have created a sweeping buzz on social media platforms, with some comparing the wooden structures to kennels.
"People left their beds to go sleep in these?" a tweep quoted a tweet showing the accommodation facilities.
Another tweep said: "Ah, to behold the sight of women crawling out of these kennels after spending a night with their dogs!"
"How can I leave my bed to go sleep in these? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I am crying!!!!" tweeted another one.
Another quote read: "😂😂😂😂😂I don't think I can even enter. Maybe they were made for thin people."
One of the revelers at the fete said she visited a website of Nyege Nyege and found admirable pictures of what accommodation would look like.
But on reaching, she found a shack with no toilet, shower, and doors that don't lock.
According to her, some of the revelers who flew in from abroad refused to sleep in them. Another reveler said that even the tents weren't enough and some were double booked.
The annual festival is one of the most attended high-end music festivals, bringing in party-goers from all over the world.
