Musician King Saha has said his nemesis Bebe Cool was cheated by the songwriter of his latest song titled Nyege Nyege.

"Songwriter yettaga kiboko (deserves lashing)... Ssente yalidde za bwerere (he didn't deserve the money he was paid)," Saha posted on Instagram on Tuesday.

Speaking to this reporter by phone, Bebe Cool said he wrote and composed the song himself with some input from producer Ronnie.

In the song, whose audio was produced by Producer Vad of Gagamel Studios, Bebe Cool sings: "We only live once, let's leave what's in the future for the future. Let's have fun... Nyege Nyege Nye (X8). Would you mind if I take you around the world and tell people that you mine?... I love you girl."

The Amapiano song also attracted scathing criticism from Born 2 Conquer (B2C) group member Mr. Lee who slammed Cool for producing a jam that's in the same genre he was bashing them for.

"There is a big man who once out of his [tight] schedule made time for an interview to abuse Our Amapiano Song ‘It’s Okay’. He convinced the viewers [that] Amapiano was a very bad style to try out in Uganda. [Maybe] he shifted to South Africa [because] so far he has two Amapiano songs out," he tweeted on Tuesday evening.

In a 2021 interview, Bebe Cool said, referring to B2C: “They had that song ‘Gutujja’. It was a big song and I’m sure they can perform across Uganda with that. I can’t say the same about ‘It's Okay’. They want to capture the international market, but I can tell you, money is here. They should focus on what makes them stars here.”

People are already calling Bebe Cool's new song the official Nyege Nyege anthem, especially since it has been released two days before the annual festival.
