Radio Simba’s Omulangira Ndausi arrested over fraud

From last week, news had been circulating that veteran radio personality and events host Simon Peter Ndawula known to many as Omulangira Ndausi was being hunted by the police over fraud allegations.

Ndausi is accused of defrauding and extorting money from a number of Ugandan girls with empty promises of taking them to the USA for ready jobs.

The news of his arrest has been first shared by journalist and NTV news anchor Andrew Kyamagero known to many Ugandans as Omuntu Wawansi, who confirmed that Ndausi was arrested yesterday on March 21st 2022, and he spent the whole night at Kiira Road police station.

Through his social media, Kyamagero thanked the police for handling the matter and case with the attention it deserves.

“Today, I spent my whole day at Kiira road police station and later Jinja road police station with Omulangira Ndausi victims. And I want to thank the police for handling this case with the attention it deserved. Webuzibidde nga Ndausi ali munda. He has promised to clear the victims by tomorrow morning. Wrong is wrong and must be rebuked,” reads Kyamagero’s post on Facebook.

According to Kyamagero, the radio personality and detainee Omulangira Ndausi after spending the night in coolers is fully ready to refund the money to all the girls that he owes.

Omulangira Ndausi is a presenter on the 97.3 radio Simba, a Kampala based radio station based in Bukoto and hosts the famous morning show called Binsanga wano alongside Bizonto.

He is also known as a top voice-over artist for his radio jingles and adverts that are horsy and full of energy and aggressiveness. Ndausi has been an on-air radio presenter for over two decades and is one of the most celebrated radio personalities in the country.
