Playing on home soil, the Jinja Hippos maintained the domestic pride at Bugembe Stadium in a closely contested clash against Kobs. A solitary try by Denis Etwau was enough to separate the sides as the Hippos consolidated their place at the table summit.

Enroute to finals, they defeated Mongers 12-7 in quarters to set up a semi-final clash against Pirates. They defeated Pirates 14-7 to reach the finals.
