Heathens dominate Arua 7s unbeaten

Heathens have emerged winners of the Arua Sevens circuit in Arua City, West Nile. The West Nile city hosted 10 core clubs and two others playing on invitation at the Greenlight stadium.

Heathens saw off Hippos 10-00 to go unbeaten in the circuit. This is the second successive circuit the team has managed to dominate without dropping points.

The win catapulted Heathens to 56 points as the table leaders leapfrogging Stanbic Black Pirates who were victors in the opening circuit.

Kobs are the current holders but are not having a good tournament.

Heathens now have 56 points, just two ahead of second placed Stanbic Black Pirates who have been leading in the opening two circuits. Hippos have accumulated 51 points to earn third place while Impis are fourth with 46 points.

Rams have 42 points in fifth position, Buffaloes dropped to sixth position with 39 points and Kobs are 30 points in seventh position.

Warriors are eighth with 27 points while Walukuba Barbarians and Mongers both have 23 points but the latter is at the bottom of the 10-team core sides table.

The next circuit will be hosted by Pirates on 3rd and 4th September at the King's Arena Park.

The three remaining circuits will be played at Buhinga Stadium in Fort Portal dubbed Tooro Circuit, Kyabazinga Circuit at Bugembe in Jinja and finally the grand finale at Kyadondo Rugby Club in Kampala.
