The result means Kyobe qualifies for a bronze medal and could upgrade to gold or silver if he makes it to the featherweight category finals.

A startling revelation at the Commonwealth Games, captain Joshua Tukamuhebwa yet again flattered to deceive as they fell in the quarterfinals despite an impressive start at the championship. He lost ny unanimous decision 5-0 against Colin Richamo from Mauritius.

Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Teddy Nakimuli had to be protected by the referee in her lightweight category bout against Bagao Hellena boxing before the home crowd.
