Road to UMA elections 2022: King Saha worried about vote rigging

Musician King Saha is doubtful of the UMA electoral commission holding free and fair elections online.

The commission announced that voting will be done by SMS for the convenience of all voters. Each candidate will be allocated a code with which his or her supporters will vote.

However, Saha is not in support of this method and questioned why it is being done online when the pandemic is over. The "Sikyakusobola" singer is in favour of polling stations where voters stand behind their chosen candidate.

"I doubt the committee can hold free and fair elections online. I would advise them to go for physical voting because that's transparent for everyone," he said.

The competition is getting tighter and tensions are rising between the two presidential seat contenders as the date draws near, but the commission refuted Saha's complaints and claims.

We shall use SMS to vote. We want every UMA member to participate and some of the members don’t have smartphones,” Phina Mugerwa, a member of the UMA electoral commission confirmed.

Bebe Cool remains devoted to provoking Saha through it all. The "Kapere" singer revealed that while he might not like Saha's marijuana lifestyle, he likes his music. For this reason King Saha will be one of the entertainers at his wedding, along with Chameleone.

Saha and I have no personal grudge. My only problem with him is the weed he uses, but if he reforms he is one of the people who will sing at my wedding. The song he did with Ziza Bafana is my favorite. He has a great voice,” Bebe Cool said.

Hanson Baliruno, Khalifa Aganaga and Daddy Andre are competing for the position, however Daddy Andre has not been seen campaigning. Due to his busy schedule, fans doubt he will be able to fulfill his duties.

Nevertheless, the producer has been talking to fellow artists in private, allegedly, and he thinks they will benefit a lot from his term in office.
