Next Media Group CEO Kin Kariisa recognized for sustainability leadership

At the 99th District 9214 Rotary Leadership Conference held in Munyonyo, Next Media Group CEO Kin Kariisa received recognition for the company's remarkable contributions to sustainability through its Taasa Obutonde and 15 Million Trees campaigns.

The acknowledgment from the District 9214 Rotary Leadership underscores the effectiveness of Next Media's sustainability initiatives in driving positive environmental change.

Taasa Obutonde, Next Media's flagship campaign, aims to address the dangers of irresponsible plastic use and its adverse effects on the environment, human health, and wildlife, with a focus on the role of Ugandans in combating this issue. Through this campaign, Next Media has consistently highlighted the importance of responsible plastic usage and waste management practices.

In tandem with Taasa Obutonde, Next Media launched the ambitious 15 Million Trees campaign, which seeks to address deforestation and promote reforestation efforts nationwide. By planting 15 million trees, the campaign aims to enhance biodiversity, combat climate change, and safeguard Uganda's natural heritage.
