“You should ask all those people of NUP, UPC FDC and others what are their plans for the country,” Museveni said while addressing party supporters at Amatiburu Primary School in Okwangodul sub-county.
Museveni was canvassing support for Janet Adongo Rose Elau, the NRM Flag bearer for the Dokolo Woman MP.
The President, who is also the NRM party chairman said voters should always be on the lookout for the opposition parties’ plans and aspirations and try to compare them with what the party has achieved so far.
He gave the example of the number of government secondary schools (10) that have been set up in Dokolo district, noting that there was no such school in the entire Acholi region at independence.
“You should know that if we have been able to do A, B, C; we shall also be able to do D, E and F,” added the president.
“If you are looking for a party to support, you should look for one which has evidence of capacity. And the challenge is for you to get it good workers who have a plan.”
Voters in Doloko district are going to the polls tomorrow, March 21 to elect their district woman MP.
This seat became vacant following the death of the former Representative (MP), the Hon. Cecilia Barbara Atim Ogwal, which occurred on 18th January 2024.
