Salvado’s father, Mr Lawrence Dawa passed away last Sunday, March 24, losing the battle to colon cancer. He was aged 92 years, according to Salvado, although his official documents said he was 85.

Salvado told mourners that his father was to be laid to rest at his home in Komamboga today (Wednesday) afternoon, and not at their country home in Koboko district.

This, he said, was because of a family disagreement which was still before courts of law.

People were asking why he is not going to be buried in Koboko,” Salvado said, breaking down in tears.

There are many family-related issues. So, he’s going to be laid to rest at his house here in Kampala because that was his wish. He talked to my big brother and myself and said he wanted to be buried in Komamboga until whatever is happening in Koboko is resolved."

This is all because of the judicial system which is taking too long to handle this matter.

Salvado further revealed that his father had spent his last days with him at his home where he was being treated for cancer.

The doctors found out in November last year that he had stage four colon cancer. But we hid it from him because were told that if he knew, he would die faster.

Earlier before his send-off, Dawa was taken to Mbuya church for a funeral service.
