The song addresses men who neglect their women and don't make any effort to notice them and their impact in their lives. The video features visuals from the ancient Egyptian culture of Pharaohs with the singer clad in glittering golden ornaments and ensemble like a Chocolate Candy Gold Wrap Ferrero Rocher.
Song review: Vinka 'edible' in 'One Bite', a piece of Egyptian history
Swangz Avenue and Sony Music singer Vinka releases new song, coupled with video, titled 'One Bite' and it has already hit Apple Music's daily playlist which features potential continental bangers.
Where Katy Perry emulates Cleopatra's alleged histrionic character in "Dark Horse" which features rapper Juicy J, Vinka perhaps captures Cleopatra's soft side which appealed to Marcus Antonius (Mark Antony) to stay with her instead of going off to marry Octavia.
They say a drowning man will catch a straw, as will a woman drowning in loneliness. In the song Vinka is a woman parched for her lover's attention.
"Njagala nnumeko one bite (one bite) Oba kisoboka bu two bites (two bites Nkusaba ompeeyo one night (one night) Hmmm babe sula ewange"
Unfortunately, like Egypt is still torrid even with the Nile River influencing most of its activities and life, her confessions of undying love and devotion, literally tabled as she seductively dances on a table filled with nourishment, are ignored leaving her high and dry.
However, it is the age of empowerment and overhaul of gender responsibilities, and an ignored woman will not go down without a fight.
"Kambeere your John Rambo, mu kizikiza nga nkukwatira candle. Mu masuuka go mwe njagala okubeera babe. Nga bw’ofuna nightmare, nga nze akulwanira am your fighter. Yenze gwe wasuubizza, ku Tuesday nkukubire tumeetinge," a verse reads.
The project is produced by TON and mastered by Steve Keys at Swangz Avenue. The video, visuals and choreography were masterminded by Aaronnaire in Kampala.
