“I wanna give people a two-day VIP experience at Serena. It's scary but I wanna do it. It's the first time doing it in Uganda,” Karungi said, adding that she is doing it because her fans told her the venue won’t provide enough space for them.
Holding ‘a 2-day concert’ at Serena ‘is scary but I wanna do it’ - Sheebah
Songstress Sheebah Karungi is well-aware that holding a two-day concert in a high-end venue like Kampala Serena Hotel is a big risk but it’s the kind she’s willing to take.

“Serena is a small space… My people were complaining that you're leaving us behind... I was like, why not give you a two nights show? Two nights of Sheebah Karungi, and trust me, each day is gonna be a different day.”
The concerts will be held on December 9 and 10 at the hotel’s Victoria Hall. She has priced early bird tickets, which are the cheapest -- at Shs100,000, and tables are Shs3 million.
She will also do Fredoom City on December 11, Kyotera on December 16, Mbarara on December 17, and conclude with Fortportal on December 18.
She said in an earlier interview that she opted for Serena because she wants to test new waters.
"I want to challenge myself to be better. If you want to see the version of you you've never seen, you've to challenge yourself. If you want to get something you've never gotten, you do something you've never done,” said Karungi, who added that she is morphing into a new version of herself.
"I want to challenge myself because I have a show in my mind that I know I can do, but I have never done... I want a closed space that will keep the sound waves inside... I want to see what I can do in a closed space like Serena because all my ideas can't be perfectly executed in an open space… The way a snake sheds its skin, I'm also shedding off the old Sheebah. Next month I'll be 33. I started singing at 15.”
For most of her previous shows, Sheebah Karungi was under the management of Jeff Kiwanuka, alias Jeff Kiwa, but they ended their contract last year after working together for nine years.
