The reason for his arrest according to police is that he failed to perform at a show where he was booked in the same region before the country was hit by Covid 19 which came with a total lockdown on concerts and events.
When promoters that had booked him years back heard that he would be in the area, they brought back the case to life and alerted the police who arrested him immediately after he performed at the said concert.
The promoters said he breached the contract to perform at their event after being fully paid. They added that he asked for more money after discovering the venue was full and the event had sold out.
Ziza declined to perform and together with the people he had come with drove back to Kampala and put all their calls on mute and blocked.
The organisers and promoters of the event also allege that his refusal to perform at the event led to so many damages of property and losses after people went violent.
He was arrested and detained at Kabale police headquarters and was released on police bond after settling the matter with the promoters and event organisers of the previous event.
On being released on police bond, Ziza Bafana went on his Facebook and posted,
“Kabale was fire before the kidnap by police. But finally we now out”
