“Kiggundu is a young man who emerged as the NRM came to power, and he truly embodies the NRM spirit through his innovation and drive for prosperity in Uganda,” Museveni said, acknowledging Kiggundu's role in breathing new life into the stadium.

Museveni shared his enthusiasm for the tycoon's 'can-do' attitude.

“I thank Kiggundu because he has shown that 'yes we can' attitude not only here but in other projects as well," he said.

"He came up with a solid plan, and being a bush warfighter, I got it right away. We don’t waste time; a slow decision can be fatal.”
