"I hear some people saying it's not right to eat pork because pigs were attacked by demons. None of the pigs that were attacked by demons survived. If you don't want to eat a pig, it's fine... that's a different issue... because those pigs died. None of those 2000 pigs survived. They all died in the sea," Pastor Serwadda preached in a video seen by this reporter.
Pastor Serwadda on eating pork: All demon-possessed pigs died
The leader of Victory Christian Church Pastor Joseph Serwadda reassured Christians that it's okay to eat pork because all the pigs Jesus sent demons to died.

"If you want something to stop you from eating pork, find another reason... It's Jesus that ordered the demons to die with the pigs. If it was a human being, I would have doubts. But Jesus does a thorough job. He doesn't do half-baked work. He completes what he starts."
The pastor was explaining Matthew 8:28-34, which talks about Jesus driving demons out of two demon-possessed men to pigs.
"When He arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met Him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way. 'What do you want with us, Son of God?' they shouted. 'Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?'" reads the text.
"Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding. 31 The demons begged Jesus, 'If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.' He said to them, Go!' So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water."
The text continues: "Those tending the pigs ran off, went into the town and reported all this, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men. Then the whole town went out to meet Jesus. And when they saw Him, they pleaded with Him to leave their region."
Pastor Joseph Sserwadda, who is a journalist by profession and owns multiple media houses, is quite a controversial figure and his boisterous preaching style has made him attract a steady flow of worshippers in his church. In 2017, he was among pastors championing enforced vasectomies to curb rapid population growth.
