MC Mariachi wouldn't have married me if he despised Basoga, says Mirembe

"If he saw serious about abusing Basoga... You can't abuse something and want to associate with it. He wouldn't have married a Musoga. It's not like he just bumped into me. We have been together since 2005 and we have three children together," Lydia Mirembe Bogere said in a TikTok video seen by this reporter.

"If he meant what he said in comedy, he wouldn't have asked for my hand in marriage... All the time we were cohabiting, you want to tell me he didn't know I'm a Musoga."

Mirembe, who was cheerful in the video, also heaped praises on the award-winning comedian, saying he is a very committed provider for his family.

"Mariachi is a responsible man... We started dating at a very young age... The things Mariachi has achieved, it's just that some people like showing off, but you can't believe he has acquired all of it at his age [Mariachi was born in 1987]," she said.

"I'm not saying he is very rich, but he brings all the earnings and we sit and plan for our kids. He's very responsible. He says didn't go far with formal education [MC Mariachi dropped out of school in senior two while at Nansana Secondary School]. But he is always the first to take school fees despite our kids being in expensive schools. Mariachi is the kind of man that knows his family needs feeding... When it comes to taking care of his family, he is a true father."

Lydia Mirembe is also cocksure that he has figured out her baby daddy and no one can steal him from her.

"I'm a beautiful woman. I don't think any woman can steal Mariachi from me... We've been together for [long]... I know Mariachi loves me... Mark my word, I didn't bewitch him," she said.

"When you stay with someone for a long time you know what he likes and hates. I know both."

Mariachi, whose comedy is always spiced with tribal jokes, started dating Lydia Bogere Mirembe in 2005.

She introduced him to her family in 2017 at a function attended by Capt Juma Seiko, Miles Rwamiti, Cindy, Kasuku, Alex Muhangi, Madrat and Chico, Godi Godi, Patricko Mujuuka and John Segawa among others.
