Marcus Kwikiriza quits Next Radio as general manager

According to sources, all presenters were asked to re-apply for their jobs and different roles at the station.

Latest news is that popular media personality and ‘Another Round’ show host Marcus Kwikiriza has resigned from his role as a general manager of Next radio and has been appointed head of strategic business.

“Following my recent communication regarding the realignment of Next Radio, Mr Marcus Kwikiriza shall now focus as the group Head of Strategic Business in line with the growth plans of the strategic business desk. The realignment is effective immediately, and management shall make further communication regarding Next Radio changes in due course. We urge all transformers to support the teams in their respective responsibilities as we strive to be the leading multimedia group for East Africa.” Read part of the internal memo from CEO Kin Kaliisa.

It should be noted that Marcus Kwikiriza has been the General Manager of Next Radio for over three years of its operation. It was launched back in 2018 and Marcus started as a morning show host called Morning Zoo together with Karitas.

Last year he resigned from being a host of the morning show to focus on his general managerial role which is now no more. He is currently going to be at NBS as a host of the ‘Another Round’ lifestyle and entertainment show.

Ever since he was appointed general manager of the station, Marcus has achieved some great achievements like the radio channel on DSTV.
