I don't like to be controlled - Sheebah on why she's not married

Singer Sheebah Karungi says that she is not married because she does not want to be controlled by anyone.

Sheebah Karungi, also known as Queen Karma

Sheebah is a headstrong artist who is known for her independent, fiercely feminist spirit. Some have accused her of being something of a misandrist, which is a person who dislikes, despises, or is strongly prejudiced against men.

However, Sheebah, on several occasions, has come out to dispute this misperception by clarifying her devotion to all kinds of people.

I will always uplift my fellow women in times of need (Whenever I can) Also I will keep using my voice, because I know it might help somebody’s daughter or Son out there,” she once said.

Still, she is also known as a bare-knuckled, ball-busting person who will not brook anything she perceives as nonsense.

The Nkwata Bulungi star is thus quite combative with those she feels do not deserve her respect as she refuses to suffer fools gladly.

This could be the real reason she has not walked down the aisle with any man or woman, especially in view of how marriage is fast becoming a farce to reckon with in Uganda.

However, in her own words, Sheebah says the main reason why she is far from getting married to any man is somewhat different.

Being one of the most iconic singers in Uganda at the age of 33 years, she is still enjoying her single life as a spinster with no children, but for good reason.

According to Sheebah, she needs a free life and so she can do whatever she feels like doing without anyone’s permission or validation, this is why is not married.

You people ask why I am not married but the reason is I don’t want to be controlled by anyone,” Sheebah revealed.

She might stick to her guns on this but, as the saying goes, she should never say never.
