The Venoms have added yet another Congolese player to their roster bringing the total number of players from Uganda’s neighbours to six.

Vipers whirlwind romance with Congolese players continues as the Uganda Premier League title holders bolster their squad ahead of the CAF Champions League group stage.
Latest signing, midfielder Serge Robert Mwenge joins compatriots Alfred Macumu Mudekereza, Olivier Osomba, Gracia Mpongo Mbombo, Rodriguez Shamamba and Darcy Mbaka Kipoyi at the Kitende based club.
Mwenge signed a two-year employment contract at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende that will run till 2025. He has previously featured for DRC and African powerhouses AS Vita, and Saint Loi Lupopo.
Other signings
Vipers have so far unveiled two other players Martin Kizza and Karim Ndugwa earlier this week.

Paul Mucureezi, a free agent released by Vipers SC is reportedly holding talks with URA FC with other clubs including Wakiso Giants interested in his services.
Big League sides Kitara FC and Mbarara City FC are reportedly interested in signing Mucureezi but the tax collectors are reportedly favourites as they look to overhaul the state of affairs following a dismal performance in the first half of the season. URA have only managed 14 points in 14 matches are in the 11th position.
