Micho named his finals squad of 23 players with Sentamu Siraje and Najib Yiga dropped at the last minute. According to reports, the two players are not physically fit for the tournament and Sentamu has reportedly been nursing an illness.

The Cranes concluded their build-up matches in Tunisia with a little to bank on as a confidence boost having drawn all the three matches against Sudan, Cameroon and Mali.

Uganda is pitted in the CHAN ‘group of death’ with neighbours Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal and Ivory Coast.

All odds are stacked against the Cranes who are yet to make it out of the CHAN group stages after five attempts.
