The anonymous follower escaped to police to report the pastor. Abraham maintains that the gate is at a site in Araromi-Ugbeshi town in south-western Nigeria.

When asked about these allegations, Pastor Ade admitted that he told his followers about the gate and explained that it is God who gave him the revelation. Following the revelation, he was tasked by his God to share the news with his congregation.

He said that the news was supposed to test the faith of the followers but he has not received any money from said followers.

The organisation in charge of Christian activity in Nigeria promptly released a statement denouncing any association with the cleric onwards. The police in Ekiti state, where the pastor resides collected written statements from the congregation which aided the investigation.

The suspect has moved around the country a lot over time, starting from Kogi state to Kaduna state and finally settling in Ekiti state and starting a church.

It was discovered that the church member who called the police on Ade has since left the area for Kaduna state where he was abandoned by his wife who insisted that the rapture is nigh. The couple who have withheld their identification continue to talk over the phone.

This is the second incident the pastor is involved in that has gone viral. The first was a video of him appealing to his congregation to ask their relatives abroad to send money to the church treasury.
