The event borrows its name from the boxing match between undefeated and undisputed heavyweight champion George Foreman and Muhammad Ali on October 30, 1974, at the 20th of May Stadium (now the Stade Tata Raphaël) in Kinshasa, Zaire (now Democratic Republic of the Congo).

Revelers showed up enthusiastically, as though they were going to see Ali and Frazier return to the ring, to enjoy camping, roasted meats and energy-filled performances from artistes such as Tugume Wycliff, popularly knowns as Ykee Benda, and Ojambo Andrew, commonly known as Daddy Andre, as the headlining acts amongst a menu of many more.

Ykee, the Singa hitmaker, materialised on stage a few minutes to midnight to send ripples of applause through the sea of humanity that was the audience that night.

Immediately, Ykee launched into his hit songs such as "Eva" and "Banange", “Turn Up The Vibe”, "Abeeyo" and others which got the crowd dancing the night away.

At around 12:20 am, artiste Daddy Andre set the stage on fire with his hit song “Sikikukweka,” then he also sang “You and Me”, a collabo song with Lydia Jasmine, to the crowd’s evident delight.

Later, musician Chozen Blood entertained the jungle rumblers with his ‘Yitayo” song, which is a collabo with Winnie Nwagi.

Mc Casmir and Sheila Salta also did not disappoint, as the crowd stayed on its feet, dancing and singing to their heart’s content.

The Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) Events Manager Herbert Ndugga said Captain Morgan chose to be part of the “Rumble In The Jungle” to appeal to everyone’s fun side.

The concept here is to get the fun of the you, and the jungle life is what defines that. The treasure hunt is one of captains’ traits, and the captain is here to lead the way to it. It maybe that new friend, the great music and the like,” he said.

He said this event at Nyungu Yamawe was the fourth episode of the Rumble In The Jungle, adding that Ugandans should look out for more episodes in the not-so-distant future.
