Vumbula Uganda Festival lights up Jinja over Marytrs' Day weekend

The festival brought major star-power from the entertainment industry to turn up with party-goers, this included Coco Finger, singer Aziz Azion, AnKnown, Hit Nature, Abeka Band and media personalities DJ Roja, MC Casmir, DJ El-Nicho, Livin MC and Evelyn MC among others.

Tourism aficionados arrived in large numbers in safari buses to a wide display of tourism and cultural products that the tourism city offers. Vumbula Uganda Festival stakeholders partnered with the major beverage brand and major media brands to organise the event.

“These trips have been memorable travel experiences whereby all those who went on the trip were able to ‘kuvumbula’ what makes Uganda the Pearl of Africa. Uganda is uniquely gifted in different regions and it is great we are able to positively show their tourism aspects,” said Joelle Galla Brand Manager said.

Jinja is a major tourist magnet and this has prompted established and upcoming tour companies to take entertainment events to the region. Some of these events include the much anticipated NyegeNyege Festival happening in September 2022. Others include, Queen of Jinja City, Roast and Rhymes, Jinja Agriculture and trade Show, Slip and Slide, TUCHEZE Festival, Rotaract Festival, StoneFest, Jinja Color Run, KWEPENA Jinja Edition, Jinja Adventure Week, Nile Rovermoot and Reggae On the Nile.

Over the past 5 years, the city has been transformed from a foreign tourist attraction to an urban youth attraction site turning it into a marketing force for brands and a networking hub.
