'Tiwa Savage Live in Kampala' July 2022 show a scam

British-Nigerian singer-songwriter Tiwatope Savage, popularly known as Tiwa Savage, is set to perform at the Lugogo Cricket Oval come July 29, 2022.

However, a developing story shows that the announcement is allegedly a scam.

Jos Global, an events promotion company that is presumably in charge of the event has come out to warn the public that it has been falsely presented. This is the second time the singer has been announced to perform in Uganda after her show back in April was cancelled.

"My company Josglobal which also owns the Twitter account that's been tagged on this tweet has nothing to do with this event. We don't have any program arrangement with @TiwaSavage please ignore this," the tweet reads.

The event poster, which was posted by Talent Africa Group on their social media pages reads that Jos Global is in charge of organising the show but Jos replied to the post denying any contact or contract between them and Savage.

Back in March, Tiwa confirmed her appearance in Uganda on April 22 at the same venue but later took down the announcement posts from her social media channels without explanation.

Muli mutya” UGANDA!!! Get ready, cause I’m bringing the vibe and energy to your city, see you soon,” Savage's deleted Facebook post read.

It seems that recent history is repeating itself as the "No Wahala" singer might not be coming. Some fans have commented on the event poster saying that local artists have better quality concert posters than the one made for Savage.

Savage is currently on a world tour for her Album "Water and Garri" which features songs like "Work Fada" "Somebody's Son" and "Tales By Moonlight" among others.
