You are a 'demoter', not a promoter - Eddy Kenzo slams Bajjo over price list

According to BET winner and Grammy nominee, Eddy Kenzo, characters such as Bajjo want to weaken the art and benefit off the scandal they have caused.

Kenzo further added that Bajjo wants to weaken artistes so that promoters can shoot up in the pecking order.

Early this year, Andrew Mukasa, the promoter of Bajjo events, shared a list, in which he assigned booking fees to each and every artiste, according to worth.

Kenzo further adds that promoters are the richest individuals in the music industry, as they own all the prime properties, yet musicians are sorely poorly.

According to Kenzo, promoters are now worried that artistes are pulling themselves up by the bootstraps, and lists such as Bajjo’s are counteractive measures to challenge the progress.

Kenzo further rubbished the excuse given by promoters that artistes are expensive.

“That is an excuse. If artistes are expensive, then promoters should have hiked entrance fees to the concerts,” he reasons.

Kenzo reveals that he acknowledges that times are lately trying as almost all commodity and service prices have gone up, however, he says that it is not logical for promoters to find solutions by diminishing artiste’s value.

According to Kenzo, such people are no longer promoters but demoters.

Kenzo made these comments while expressing support for Spice Diana, who has an upcoming concert this February.

“You can only be a promoter when you a promoting, you cannot be a promoter when you are demoting,” he adds.

He further cried out to all artistes across the country to perceive promoters as demoters.

“Whoever you see diminishing the value of musicians, kindly take note, that’s a demoter,” he adds.

Kenzo further encouraged artistes not to work for such promoters, as they should only strut their stuff for promoters willing to respect the art.
