Music producer and writer Ronie On DisOne born Matovu Ronald Producer is in joyous moods after scooping an award at the Forty Under 40 Africa Awards that happened previously in Ghana.

The renowned music producer won the award from the music and entertainment category beating other nominees that were in the same category from different African countries.

Kyagulanyi Robert SSentamu won in the category of governance and government agencies.

Ronie thanked all his fans and his team that voted for him and managed to scoop the award.

He announced his victory through his Instagram,

Congratulations to me for making Uganda 🇺🇬 proud. I scooped an Award in the @fortyu40africa awards last night in Ghana in the category of music and entertainment. Thanks so much my team and everyone that voted for me God above all,” Ronie posted on his Instagram.

When this year’s awards edition was launched, Ugandans Humphrey Nabimanya, the CEO Reach A Hand Uganda, music producer Ronnie and National Unity Platform President Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu were nominated in the 2022 Forty Under 40 Africa Awards.

The three personalities were the only representatives for the Pearl of Africa at this year’s edition of the awards.

Ronnie on being nominated said the nominations meant a lot to him and it’s such a big milestone in his career as a senior music producer.

“Am super excited to let you know that I have been named among the Forty under forty nominees in the forty under 40 Africa Awards, a sign that this year we are going beyond borders' number six on the first line,” Ronie posted on his Facebook page.

For one to be nominated, they must be a citizen of any of the 55 African countries either living in the country or abroad. The awards major aim is to recognise and celebrate future leaders under the age of forty.

Nominations come from a number of sectors ranging from agriculture, family, journalism, sports, theatre and arts and others.

The awards happened on Saturday at Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel, Accra Ghana.
