The campaign seeks to ensure that these creatives receive fair compensation for their contributions to the music industry, alongside performers.
Next Media Group CEO, Kin Kariisa, met with the representatives and expressed his support for the initiative.
He emphasized the importance of inclusivity and equity in the music industry, stating that every stakeholder deserves a seat at the table for progress.
Next Media is supporting this initiative by providing a venue at Next Media Park's Media Hub for an engaging session.
The event will be broadcast and live-streamed to ensure accessibility for all, allowing everyone to participate and join the conversation about the future of the music industry in Uganda.
With Next Media's support, the #WakeUpCall campaign aims to bring about positive change and empower local talent.
