Song review: Busy by Martha Mukisa

Busy is an unmatched love song from the talented Martha Mukisa. From Sango, Martha bounces back with a lit song solely. Written with those great values that made great women in the music industry like Juliana Kanyomozi stand out and on this song, she stands out as a good vocalist on this mid tempo track. Her focus on the melody is remarkable with uniquely composed hard lines on the song that is beautifully composed in Luganda and simple english.

The structure of the song is so simplistic in a very well manner like any other professional writer would write it. Busy is a charming song with a verse and chorus structure that makes it easily memorable while letting you focus on the heartfelt lyrics that the song runs with.

The production of the song is a curious one with the instruments sitting back well on the verses and beats while picking up its main mid tempo format in the chorus. The different variations lend the song its vibrancy and the creative and intelligent way of keeping the song alive.

But what stands out most in Busy is Martha Mukisa’s vocals. People have been talking about her ever since she joined the music industry with her few songs because of her euthenticity and creativeness. The song is beautifully crafted and Martha also wonderfully channels such honest emotions with her singing in the song.
