It ‘is very hard for me’ to call Juliana Kanyomozi ‘a legend’ - DJ Nimrod

Nimrod Nabeeta, popularly known as DJ Nimrod said he struggles to put songstress Juliana Kanyomozi among legends in Uganda's music industry.

According to Nimrod, who is also a radio host, unlike Bobi Wine, Bebe Cool, and Jose Chameleone, Kanyomozi hasn't released new songs in a while.

"Juliana stopped releasing music. Yes, there are those who still understand her. But young music fans understand a few songs of Juliana, but as a female diva, she's still a star, she is still big in the country, [and] she behaves like a star,... calling her a legend when she's no longer releasing music is very hard for me," he said.

"That's why I told you Chameleone, Bobi, [and] Bebe Cool have been around from that time, even now they are still releasing music."

This is not the first time Nimrod has taken aim at the Nabikoowa singer.

As she prepared for her concert that was held on August 18 following an eight-year break from the music industry, Nimrod wondered why artistes were supporting her to promote her concert yet she never does the same for them.

"... This Music Industry can be funny and unpredictable. The way Ugandan Musicians are posting about Juliana’s Show and yet she NEVER posts any of your shows!!" the DJ posted on his Facebook.

"I love an industry where we support each other or where we support those who support us... She doesn’t deserve the support she doesn’t give."

Nimrod, 35, observed that Kanyomozi had only posted about Azawi's concert which was held on July 22 because Azawi is managed by Swangz Avenue, which also promoted her (Kanyomozi's) concert.

"She only posted Azawi’s coz [sic] Swangz is doing her show," he said.

But Kanyomozi had earlier noted that she never performs at shows organised by other singers because she’s rarely invited.
