A few days back, an individual identified as Onesmus took the internet by storm after emerging in a video which portrays him kneeling, in quest for a lover’s amnesty.

In the video that has since gone viral on social media, the apologetic individual kneels down in Mary Stuart girl’s hall of residence in Makerere University.

According to Campus Bee, the gentleman was involved in acts of infidelity hence the need to explain himself to the displeased partner.

“I will always be submissive, I’m saying this in everyone’s presence, please forgive me,” the guy implored as the chic sarcastically replied that it was “okay” she had forgiven him and there was no need to talk.

The subservient individual did not really mind the presence of other people in the room, lest his case be heard and out into consideration. Unfortunately, basing on the lady’s response, the pleas seem to have fallen on deaf ears.

Onesmus has since captivated the hearts of many on the internet as he has been hailed for his vulnerability.

One of the people whose hearts Onesmus has since won-over includes that of Kampala Deputy Lord Mayor, Doreen Nyanjura.

The Lord Mayor has since met up with Onesmus, sharing pictures and details of their meeting on her official twitter handle.

According to Nyanjura, she had a beautiful afternoon yesterday with Onesmus and counselled him on the fact that there is nothing wrong with loving genuinely.

She further encouraged him to neglect society stereotypes that dictate that men don’t kneel.

“I have had a very beautiful afternoon with Onesmus. I have told him there is nothing wrong with loving genuinely. I told him to ignore social stereotypes of men don’t kneel. For some men when chucked, the commit suicide, others murder those that chuck them, he chose peace,” she tweeted above a picture they took together.

In a three-line thread, Nyanjura further added that as human beings, we react differently to disappointment and since Onesmus chose peace over extremism, he is destined for greatness.

She further challenged all those mocking Onesmus to stop it since they would not have done the same thing had it been a close relative of theirs in Onesmus’ position.

According to Nyanjura, the public should not be harsh on Onesmus since he was already going through a lot by the time of his rejection.

She further encouraged him not be a sadist just because sadists treated him different.
