Chris Brown is set to come to Uganda, Kendrick Lamar surprises fans

Chris Brown, the American singer, dancer and actor (Stomp The Yard, Think Like A Man) is coming to the country to meet a local dance group.

Also, American rapper Kendrick Lamar surprises fans with face-morph storytelling video in which he addresses some of the social ailments that plague the community today.

Patricia Nabakooza, one of the members of the popular Ghetto Kids dance group revealed that Brown gave them the green light to organise for his arrival.

The young dancer added that arrangements are in place to secure the meeting and that the dancers cannot wait to meet one of their idols.

We posted a video on our Instagram and asked to meet him. He then responded by saying he was open to the idea. He told us to make it happen. I can’t tell you much, but just know we are talking now and planning something,” Patricia said.

Chris Brown, real names Christopher Maurice Brown, is one of the most celebrated dancers and singers of the generation since his early days. With tracks like "Yo(Excuse Me Miss)" and "With You" the 33-year-old won international recognition and the hearts of many young people around the world.

Since then, the musician has had a successful career with global hits and collabo hits, with the likes of Lil Wayne, Trey Songz, Nicki Minaj among others, topping music charts across the world. He has been linked to Micheal Jackson and Usher Raymond for his dance skills. The singer recently celebrated his birthday and has an album titled "Breezy" coming out in a June and over 25 tours lined up for the year.

Since their claim to fame back in 2013, the group has achieved much success through their dance. They shared a stage with many celebrities on the BET award show and worked with international stars: French Montana, Swae Lee and Master G of South Africa.

Speaking of American artists who surprised fans, rapper Kendrick Lamar released a song off his album which is expected to come out at the end of the week.

The track which is titled “The Heart Part 5”, is the 5th part in the series of music tracks he started releasing in 2010.

In the video he just released, he uses a manipulation mechanism to turn his face into Kanye Wests' face, Will Smith, Kobe Bryant (RIP) and Nipsey Hussle (RIP). He tells the stories of black people from the perspective of these celebrities who have been subject to public trolling and harm.

He addresses racism, poverty, exploitation, as some of the social ailments affecting individuals and calls for empathy and understanding.

Kendrick's album "Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers" comes out on Friday and this is his project since he last released an album in 2017. He is also set to perform on a festival in the United Kingdom come June.
