You inspire people who pretend to not even see you - Sheebah Karungi

Singer Sheebah Karungi believes she is in an inspiration to those who pretend not to see her, thereby reminding us that even the willfully blind can see Sheebah.

Sheebah is one of Uganda’s very best entertainers, always pushing the boundaries of what she can do to uncharted territory. This is why she has inspired many with her exhilarating performances and hit records.

However, she also has naysayers, namely those who think that she is not a legitimate artist and these naysayers have often ignored her, even as they acknowledge that she exists.

It should be recalled that at the height of the alleged sexual harassment scandal in which Sheebah claimed a man of power and authority sexually assaulted her, journalist Andrew Mwenda, who many accused of being that mysterious man of power and authority, said that he had never even heard of Sheebah before the said scandal.

Many laughed this comment off and claimed that Mwenda was probably trying some reverse psychology by trying to say he did not know Queen Karma, Sheebah’s alias, so she could defiantly say she knew him in response.

Similarly, Sheebah recently came out to imply that believes that she inspires her haters who are ashamed to testify about it, but have to respect her for the artist she has become.

"You inspire people who pretend to not even see you! Trust me," she said while captioning her photo on Facebook.

On several occasions, several established as well as upcoming female musicians in Uganda have stated that Sheebah is one of their biggest inspirations in the music industry.

Sheebah will perform at the Adekunle Gold concert at the Lugogo Cricket Oval this evening.
