According to Weasel the festival, which will be happening this year, will look at celebrating the life of Radio, his legacy and achievements for Ugandan and African music at large.

Last week different musicians together with music stakeholders held a two day concert at Kagga where Radio was buried to celebrate his life and the impact he had in the music industry of Uganda.

The concert had artistes like Karole Kasita, Feffe Bussi, Pallaso and many others. On the second day of the concert, Weasel did not show up but his brother Pallaso, who also came late, said Weasel had been caught up with some issues.

Ever since Mowzey Radio died four years ago, many stakeholders in the music industry from promoters, media houses, event hosts and musicians have craved for an annual event that would look at celebrating the life of the fallen soldier.

The announcement of the festival comes after the president of Uganda fully opened the economy with concerts and events happening which were on a total lock down for almost two years.

Weasel, however, is yet to share details about the venue, date and price of the tickets for those that will be attending.

He now joins musicians Big Eye, Eddy Kenzo who also promised us a festivals this year.

Kenzo was set to hold the first ever musician fest in Uganda but it didn’t happen because the country was put in total lock down due to COVID 19.

We await to see who will feature at the Goodlyf festival because Radio and Weasel worked with very many people in the music industry across the African continent.
