Daniella Atim lists 11 things she'd never tell a woman in an abusive marriage

Daniella Atim took to Instagram to guide people advising a woman in an abusive marriage.

Daniella Atim

Atim, who has been in a toxic marriage herself, started off her post with a moment of reflection: "To think that a few years ago I was trying to escape my abusive ex for the longest time… and now; living in the Midwest, a single mom breaking generational patterns."

Atim went on: Here are some things I would never tell any Christian/church woman in an abusive marriage --

  1. It's just a spiritual attack. (It’s not, he is just toxic.)
  2. You’ll ruin your kids if you leave. (No, you won’t.)
  3. Did you read that book about marriage? (Pay attention to the red flags.)
  4. Be patient. (If they do it once, they'll do it again.)
  5. For better or worse. (Jesus doesn’t want you to suffer.)
  6. It's just a season; things will get better (abuse only gets worse.)
  7. Are you desirable to him? (You even doubt your worth now.)
  8. How is your sex life? (sex is not the only important part of marriage.)
  9. What will society think? (You mean the snobs?)
  10. You have it going well for yourself. (No, you have settled for less.)
  11. He is just young and will get better as he grows… (No, he is simply an asshole.)

Daniella Atim concluded her abusive marriage advisory post: "Dear church girl, guard your heart. If that brother doesn’t know God, tread carefully."

It's also important to note that she recently rolled out a YouTube channel through which she will talk about the good and bad things that happened during the time she was dating and married to Jose Chameleone, up to the point of separation.

Atim and the Bayuda hitmaker were married for 16 years and she has said it was an abusive marriage.

Daniella's YouTube channel has already attention of some heavy hitters in the entertainment industry, including Sheebah Karungi and Judith Heard.
