Musicians Catherine Kusasira, Big Eye chased from Walukagga’s father’s burial
Top Kadongo Kamu musician and Mayor of Kyengera town council Sir Mathias Walukagga lost his father Mzee Buyondo, with the patriarch having been laid to rest on March 23 at a funeral attended by notable public figures of Uganda.
While they held farewell prayers and a vigil for the deceased at his home in Masaka, in attendance were musicians Big Eye aka Star Boss along with band musician and presidential advisor Catherine Kusasira.
The situation did not go on well for them at the vigil after being chased away from the venue by a number of mourners.
It should be noted that the two are staunch supporters of President Yoweri Museveni; they have always come out and confessed it to the public.
Due to politics, Walukagga who lost some of his die-hard supporters to the National Unity Platform a political party headed by Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu aka Bobi Wine.
A section of Walukagga's supporters who had attened the funeral questioned why the two - Big Eye and Kusasira - had been allowed to attend yet they defected to NUP.
The incident happened at Walukagga’s ancestral grounds in Kinyerere, Masaka where his dad was buried.
Chasing of the two public figures has, however, been condemned by different people as having been mean and primitive given that they had attended to condole the bereaved.
There were also several musicians and political personalities in attendance led by NUPs president Bobi Wine, who was received with pomp.
Walukagga had announced the death of his father through a social media post: “Friends, my father Mzee Buyondo is dead, he will be hurried this Wednesday [March 23] in Kinyerere.”
