"The Monde Selection awards recognize beverages with the best liquid quality and adherence to production processes, making this a true mark of excellence for Nile Special."

The Monde Selection Awards are prestigious annual events recognizing top-quality beers globally. To commemorate Nile Special's achievement and share its success with its loyal consumers, the brand is giving away gold medals in a nationwide promotion.

"It's not every day you get to win gold, let alone touch it," said Majok

"This campaign, part of our ongoing 'Unmatched in Gold' initiative, allows us to share these special medals with the consumers who have made Nile Special a Ugandan icon."

The mechanics of the promotion are designed for easy participation across the country. For nine weeks, Nile Special consumers who purchase at least a bucket of beers and complete a coupon will be entered into a draw to win one of the gold medals, each valued at UGX 1.5 million (approximately $410 USD).

"Literally and figuratively, we want to give Ugandans a taste of gold," Majok explained.

There will be a televised raffle draw every week to announce five winners, with a final "Grand Gold Challenge" in the eighth week for the remaining medals.

The campaign was launched along with a big celebration of the Ugandan male and female Rugby 7s teams which Nile Breweries rewarded with Shs 100 million for their excellent performance at the All Africa Games.
