The U20 Africa Cup of Nations Egypt 2023 will be played between 19 February and 11 March 2023.
AFCON U20: Uganda Hippos learn opponents for continental showdown
The Uganda national Under-20 team, the Hippos have on Friday been pooled in group B with Central African Republic, South Sudan and Congo Brazzaville.
The qualified countries are hosts Egypt, Tunisia, Nigeria, Benin, Senegal, The Gambia, Uganda, South Sudan, Mozambique, Zambia, Central African Republic and Congo.
Uganda goes into the continental youth competition as the champions of the Zone 5 CECAFA region. Neighbours South Sudan whom Uganda beat in the qualifiers find themselves in the same group with the Hippos.
The Hippos will be participating in the AFCON U20 for the second consecutive time having ended as finalists in the previous edition in Mauritania.
