The three Expressway toll gates collect an average of shs 30 million each in daily ticket sales but on Friday, only a few hours to Muhoozi's birthday party, each tollgate experienced a spike in the number of cars traveling on the new speedway between Entebbe and Kampala.
Muhoozi birthday: Kampala-Entebbe Expressway toll collections exceed shs30m above daily collections
The Kampala-Entebbe Expressway toll gates reportedly witnessed an increase of approximately shs30 million above their daily collections on Friday according to an inside source. The sudden increase has been attributed to another of the first son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba's birthday parties that was held at the Entebbe cricket grounds on Saturday.
It is believed that the activities that come with organising such a high profile event is the only plausible explanation for the sudden hike in ticket sales. The event was one of many that have taken place across the country since April 23, to celebrate the first son's 48th birthday.
It is believed that the prolonged 'birthday party' is meant to unveil the first son to the public in a special way as he prepares to succeed his father as president in the near future. The famed 'Muhoozi Project' is believed to be in the final stage before the first son replaces the first citizen, although the first family has always denied it exists.
On May 25, 2016, Gen Muhoozi said, "The Muhoozi project doesn't exist. That's a red herring. I don't have the ambition to be president. I'm very happy being in the military and that's where I intend to stay for some time."
But he recently tweeted, “When Team MK wins power in this country, which we will, our first action will be to increase the sports budget. Team MK will announce our political program soon.”
Meanwhile, the Constitutional Court has summoned Muhoozi to respond to a petition in which he is accused of expressing his presidential ambitions yet he is still a serving army officer.
