First Lady praises “steadfast” President Museveni at 50th marriage anniversary
First Lady, Janet Kataaha Museveni hailed her husband, President Yoweri Museveni for being a steadfast and unshakable husband and leader.

“He has always possessed that quality; a steadfast, indefatigable character,” said the First Lady on Saturday afternoon as the couple celebrated their marriage Golden Jubilee.
“No matter what came against him, he would stay standing. He seemed so sure of his purpose and direction that nothing could bother him.”
Mr. and Mrs. Museveni celebrated their 50 years in marriage at a colorful ceremony held at St. Matthews Cathedral in Kyamate, Ntungamo District.
The event, where the couple exchanged their marriage vows, was presided over by the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Steven Kaziimba Mugalu.
It was attended by family members, friends serving, and retired government officials among others.
The event was also graced by four Kings, a Queen, and investors from Nigeria; namely; Her Regal Majesty, Olori Temitope Enitan Ogunwusi, Queen Of Ife Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Olufolarin Ogunsanwo, the Alara Of Ilara Kingdom Lagos State, Nigeria, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Adedokun Abolarin, the Orangun Of Oke-Ila, Osun State, Nigeria and His Royal Highness Prince Adegboyega Ogunwusi, the Sooko Laekun and Head Of The Princes Of Ife Kingdom are also present.
After the church service, the President and his wife hosted their guests at for a luncheon in Irenga,
President Museveni and Janet Museveni wedded on August 24th 1974 in London.
